Ayushman Bharat Niramaya is a health insurance scheme implemented by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with the central Ayushman Bharat PMJAY scheme. The scheme provides health coverage to eligible families in Madhya Pradesh for secondary and tertiary hospitalization. It extends the benefits of the national scheme to the states eligible population with state-specific enhancements.
The scheme provides cashless health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year. Coverage includes hospitalization, surgeries, diagnostic tests and medicines. Pre-existing diseases are covered from day one. Treatment is available at empaneled government and private hospitals across MP and other states.
Families identified through the SECC database in Madhya Pradesh are eligible. The scheme covers deprived rural families and specified occupation categories in urban areas. All family members are covered including newborns and dependent parents. There is no age limit for coverage.
